Beth is available to give slide presentations and lectures on a variety of topics for university & school groups, conservation & travel organizations, camera clubs and others. Please contact Beth for more information about scheduling her for a presentation.  Some of her most well received programs include the following:

"Antarctica: Travel & Natural History of the 7th Continent"
Beth has journeyed to Antarctica 14 times as an expedition naturalist where her on-board lectures have covered topics such as geology, glaciology, oceanography, marine mammalogy, and ornithology.   Her Southern Ocean travels have taken her to the graveside of explorer Earnest Shackleton, to islands dominated by ancient glaciers, and to fantastic lands inhabited by unique marine creatures and penguins.  One season, she joined others in recreating the Shackleton Adventure, complete with a replication of the "James Caird" lifeboat.  Beth combines Antarctic expedition tales and natural history highlights into this fascinating presentation.

"Penguins to Polar Bears: Adventures of a Wildlife Photographer"
Beth's interest in the natural world, and her desire to share it with others in order to help preserve and protect wild animals and wild lands, has taken her from Arctic to Antarctic regions.  She spent 5 weeks as a naturalist guide with the polar bears of Manitoba, traveled 14 times to Antarctica to perambulate with penguins, lived and worked in Alaska among moose, caribou, grizzly bears, and wolves, and has traveled throughout the United States to photograph many species.  Natural history, adventure tales, and photography tips are interwoven into this fun and informative presentation.

"Wildlife & Nature Photography"
A favorite for camera clubs and photography classes, Beth uses her wildlife and nature photos to illustrate, in clear-cut language, the basic principles of outdoor photography.  Covering topics including composition, f-stops, lighting, film, and more, Beth shares her knowledge as a successful photographer to help others learn the craft.  This talk is full of photos from her many adventures with wild animals in wild places and is good for serious students and folks who just want a few tips to improve their family and travel pictures.

"Alaska's Inside Passage"
Beth has spent parts of six summers as a naturalist guide on a small ships and custom charter yachts cruising Alaska's Inside Passage where she leads clients on kayak adventures among whales, walks on glaciers and through waterfall drenched forests, photographing whales, glaciers, mountains, bears and the splendor that make up this spectacular temperate rainforest coastal region.  This presentation provides an in-depth view of the area and Beth offers many suggestions and tips for those wishing to travel to Alaska.

"Transformation: A Personal Journey Through Breast Cancer"
Diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 40, Beth successfully fought the disease, focusing on filming the life cycles of butterflies in her backyard and correlating her transformation with those of the beautiful monarchs. Despite being bald from chemo, Beth traveled to Alaska to cruise the Inside Passage, finding healing strength in the magic of the wilderness & wild beauty. An uplifting, informative, and inspirational presentation, Beth reveals how courage, humor, focus, and wildlife can overcome the negatives associated with fighting this disease. This is an excellent presentation for women's groups and more.
